I have been an art maker my entire life. I’m inspired by nature; flora, fauna and human. I earned my BFA at the UW–Madison and have continued studying drawing, graphics, and the discipline of printmaking, especially intaglio (woodcutting and etching). When I first began my study of art, the human form was the main emphasis in my drawings and paintings and it still figures prominently in my work. My broad knowledge of art and design allows me to create with any medium and many visuals styles. This gives me many visual languages to draw from for editorial illustrations and other visual communication needs.
My Graphic Design skills range from concept to completion, typography, publication design, package design, posters, logos and branding, social media posts, and short animated clips.
I have work in the permanent collection of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOCA), in corporate offices, and in private collections. You can see my graphic design work around the Madison area on WORT FM T-shirts, set designs for theatrical productions, and various printed materials and web information for students at UW-Madison.
